St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney’s Medical Imaging Department offers various diagnostic and interventional radiology services to inpatients and outpatients. We offer our patients the highest quality care and aim to provide accessible medical imaging for our community.  

Our Radiologists offer expertise and carry out all procedures using the lowest possible radiation dose. Some of our subspecialty imaging areas include Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal, Oncology and Interventional Radiology.

We do not provide the following services: Mammography, Obstetrics and Paediatric Radiology services are not provided.

For appointment enquiries, request a booking by clicking on the button below. 

We need a copy of your referral to book an appointment for you. This will provide us with the information we need to align you with the service you need and to avoid delays. 

Opening Hours

The Medical Imaging Department is open: 

Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm

Evening and Saturday appointments may be available for MRI.

Our X-ray service is a walk-in service during the above hours. Appointments are not required.

Our team is available to answer any questions or book appointments by phone Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Public Transport
Trains

The closest station is Kings Cross, on the Eastern Suburbs Line (T4). It is a 15-minute walk along Victoria Street to the hospital.

Buses

The following routes stop near the hospital:

  • 324 – Watsons Bay to Walsh Bay via Old South Head Road
  • 325 – Watsons Bay to Walsh Bay via Vaucluse Road
  • 311 – Railway Square to City – Millers Point via Darlinghurst, Kings Cross, Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Woolloomooloo and City – Town Hall.
  • 333 – North Bondi to City – Circular Quay LIMITED STOPS (PrePay-only) via Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction, Paddington and Darlinghurst
  • 352 – Marrickville Metro to Bondi Junction via Newtown, The University of Sydney, Chippendale, Surry Hills, Darlinghurst and Paddington.
  • 380 – North Bondi to City – Circular Quay via Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction, Paddington and Darlinghurst
  • 389 – North Bondi to Pyrmont via Bondi Junction, Woollahra, Paddington, Darlinghurst, East Sydney, City, The Star and Maritime Museum.
  • 440 – Bronte to Rozelle via Waverley, Bondi Junction, Paddington, Darlinghurst, Central Station, Annandale and Leichhardt.
