On arrival, please proceed to the reception desk. Our staff will discuss your details and direct you to the waiting room, where a nurse or radiographer will collect you to complete your examination.
Where your scan is covered by Medicare and you have a valid Medicare Card, Medicare will cover your scan (Bulk Billed) and you will not have to pay.
Some scans are not able to be bulk billed. In that case, out of pocket fees do apply. However, we minimise these wherever possible.
You may have to pay for your scan if:
- You are not eligible for any Medicare rebate
- You have exceeded the maximum number of services you can claim from Medicare in a year
- There is no Medicare item number for some or all components of this service
- Your service was not requested by an appropriate Medicare accredited specialist
- You do not have a valid Medicare card at the time of your appointment
Our bookings officers can clarify for you once you send in your Request.
In cases where Medicare does not cover your scan, we require you to sign a Financial Consent form, agreeing to pay the fee. Our bookings officers can clarify for you once you send in your Request.
Out of pocket fees apply when a scan is not covered under the MBS (Medicare Benefits Schedule).
We cannot bill directly to your private health insurance company. You will need to pay for the scan and then claim the amount back from your insurer once we issue your invoice.
Please bring your claim details with you – we require the name of your insurance company and your claim number to bill directly. In the event WorkCover/CTP reject your invoice, it will be re-billed to you for payment.
If your employer is paying for your scan, we require a guarantee of payment via email.
If you are unable to provide the above, you will need to pay for your scan and seek reimbursement from the relevant party.
Payment options are listed on the bottom of your invoice.
