X-ray
What are X-rays

X-rays are one of the most common medical imaging methods and are offered as a walk-in service; no appointment is required. An X-ray is a type of radiation that is sent through the body. X-rays are absorbed differently by various structures, such as bones and soft tissues, the different absorption rates are used to create an image.

What to expect when getting an X-ray

X-ray imaging typically takes around 5-15 minutes to complete. Our expert radiographers conduct your X-ray, which is then reported by our experienced radiologists and shared electronically with your referring doctor or specialist. You may be asked to lie down or sit in different positions depending on what is being examined. Sometimes you may need to wear a medical gown or remove jewellery, buttons, or other items of clothing in order to complete the X-ray.
